When Every Bite Counts

There are times when eating can become a daily challenge rather than a pleasure. Comfort Care is a food product developed for people who may have difficulty eating as a result of chemotherapy, Alzheimer's, or simply a bad cold or the flu.

Formulated by Dietician and Doctors from the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, Kentucky, Comfort Care is made from fresh whole foods to provide nutrient dense food options for people who can only eat food in small portions. Comfort Care is convenient, ready to serve nutritional foods to help you fight cancer, slow Alzheimer’s, or recover from a cold or flu.

Nutrient dense soup, whole wheat bread, and cookies are made from whole foods and fresh vegetables. Each eight ounce portion contains eight (8) grams of protein and five (5) grams of fiber. There are no preservatives or artificial ingredients.

Nutrition Recovery Facts

#1 reason patients return to the hospital is because they have not been able to eat food or drink fluids. Cancer nutrition and recovery are linked.

Proper nutrition during treatment increases effectiveness of the treatment.

Happy Patients = Happy Doctors

The digestive system is an important organ in your body. It is as important to recovery as you circulatory system and your nervous system. When your digestive system is not functioning, you simply will not feel well.

Cancer patients have increased nutritional needs based on two reasons:

  1. Your body is fighting the disease requiring more energy and nutrients.
  2. Your treatment kills both cancerous and healthy cells disrupting the nutrient balance in your body.
